Could It Be....
It has been so long since I blogged that I am not really sure if I remember how! Time has flown by and here were are...close to the end of our journey! It is with praise and gratitude that we are on Cloud 9 right now! We have reviewed a file of a little girl...not yet 2....(born aprroximately April 20, 2011). She had an abdominal hernia which she has had 2 surgeries to repair. She is beautiful, adorable, cute, cute, cute!!! We have moved forward and the paperwork is in China now and we are waitng for Pre-Approval. While there is always a chance that China could not approve it, we are confident that God is in control and that this is our daughter! God never fails us! His timing is Perfect. We praise Him and give Him all the glory!
Please keep us in your prayers!

Kara
Ok...so it has been awhile since the last time I blogged....lots has happened. We signed up for the special needs list last fall and in January we received a referral. It was one of the hardest decisions that we have ever had to make. To explain the special needs list a little bit the way it works is that you have a checklist of special needs that you have to go through and choose which one you would take....talk about hard! We chose mostly minor correctable needs....so when we got this referral we were estatic! She was 3 1/2 with a heart problem and umbilical hernia...not too bad BUT she was saying only 1-2 words and not saying them clear. We had her file reviewed by an international specialist and it just seemed that there was some underlying problem. Other characterics pointed to a possible genentic syndrome....Fear kept crawling in...at one time we were ready, the next moment that fear would grip us again. We went from yes to no, yes to no......what do we do? This decision should not be this hard....what is God telling us....we can't hear you God....please God, help us make this decision...lots of prayer...no answer...God please! In the end, we just couldn't say a definite yes. I cried, Tony held me and I am sure his heart was breaking too. What if this child was God's will for us and we let it pass by. So many emotions.
Well, another list is due out Monday night. It is our prayer that God has our little girl on this list. In fact, we have a feeling that He is going to bless us with our desire. Please if you are reading this, keep us in your prayers. Kara Lin (new shorter version) we love you wherever you are....Baba and Mama can't wait until the day we meet!

Wow! Can you believe is has been 10 months since my last blog! Not too bad...lol! WELL, referrals were just made for June 2011 and the Log in Date is now at June 30, 2006! We have 6 months of referrals to be made before it is our turn! Last month they referred 10 days of log ins so if you do the math....6 months, approximately 180 days, 10 days a months = 18 months. Hopefully it will be sooner because I really don't want to do anymore paperwork. We just updated our immigration paperwork again (for the 4th time). With that said, we have finally embarked on a new journey! We are in the middle of becoming foster to adopt parents! We have had our home visits and now we are attending classes to become foster parents. Oh if only everyone who has every had a child had to do this....maybe our welfare system would work better!
Enough said! Please continue to pray for us.....we are really searching for God's will in our lives. And I think that this is our calling!

August Referrals
Hot News from our Agency:
CCAA updated their website to show the most recent referrals went for families with LIDs of May 15, 2006. Since FTIA’s next LID group isn’t until May 16, 2006. This makes the current wait time approximately 51 months from time of LID to time of referral.
Wow! 51 months......who woulda thunk! God's timing, God's timing (that is what I need to keep telling myself otherwise I probably would have given up by now.) We have been busy though so that helps time pass more quickly. We have been working on one of our rentals, getting it cleaned up so that we can rent it out again. We are praying that once we get it rented out that we will be able to sell them. Sure would help with our adoption expenses! Please pray for this! I know that God will take care of us and will help us but prayer sure helps!

Referrals!
WooooooHooooo! I can't believe I haven't blogged this yet! Referrals came out on July 15th and ..... wait for it! wait for it!! They have referred through May 10th! That means that they referred TWO WHOLE WEEKS OF LIDS!!!!!! at this rate we could possibly have our referral within about 18 months! Unless they decide to refer more than two weeks at a time. Say 3 or 4 weeks at a time! Then it could be sooner! Oh, please continue to pray for us! We are getting so anxious for our little one! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers :)

July
Ok, July has officially come in hot and humid here in Ohio. Still waiting on the referrals this month to see how far they have gone. Not much new to report at this time, but I do have some friends (Mike and Valeri) that left today for China to pick up their new son. He is 8 years old and they are super excited to become his parents! Please keep them in your prayers for safe travel and that they have an easy transition with Max. God is Great! isn't he!!!
