July
Ok, July has officially come in hot and humid here in Ohio. Still waiting on the referrals this month to see how far they have gone. Not much new to report at this time, but I do have some friends (Mike and Valeri) that left today for China to pick up their new son. He is 8 years old and they are super excited to become his parents! Please keep them in your prayers for safe travel and that they have an easy transition with Max. God is Great! isn't he!!!

Waiting.....
Yep, we are still waiting. I can't believe it! We recently had to update our home study because it will expire the end of this month. More paperwork! And I am anticpating that it doesn't stop here. Our immigration paperwork expires 5/15/11 and our fingerprints expire 1/15/11. I am sure we will have to renew those again at least one more time before we get Kara. I just love that name....
KaraLin Ann Hartzler
Someday...she will be here with us. In the meantime, patience and understanding we are being taught. God's Perfect Timing. Please, oh please, continue to keep us in your prayers.

Waiting....
Well, another Mother's Day has gone by and I am still not a Mom. Will it ever happen? I have to wonder but God won't let me.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5,6
No news yet this month on how far the referrals will go. We have been busy updating our homestudy. Visit from the social worker, trip to the doctor, fingerprinted at the jail, waiting on the health department to come test our water, letters from our employers for employment verification. Yep, we have done it all again. I know that the end result will be so worth it so please just pray for us. Continued patience through all of this is high on that list. Trust........and faith.

Life Goes On....
Remember that stupid Beatle's song:
Obladi oblada life goes on bra
La la how the life goes on.
Obladi oblada life goes on bra
La la how the life goes on
I just put the title up on my blog and this is what popped into my head....and now I can't get it out! Or do you remember the TV series "Life Goes On"? That was a great series....who could forget Corky? Loved that show!
Anyway, just a short blog to let every know where the referrals are for China! They have referred through April 17th! Keep praying that it speeds up! We need our little girl! Karalin, love you forever, baby!

It's been Awhile!
Sorry folks, it has been awhile since I have been on here. Update on the referrals....referrals has been made through April 11, 2006. So time moves on slowly in the adoption world. Nothing new here~of course, just me and my procrastination. We have an addendum to our home study that approves us for special needs but we haven't went through the list of special needs to sort out what type of need we could handle. It almost seems wrong to say we would take this but not that. You know, when you have a baby, you really don't get a choice now do you? Then God keeps speaking to me through different avenues about foster care. And I keep running from that. I suppose He is going going to have to hit me upside the head with a 2 x 4 before I listen? Please just pray for us. For clear direction in our adoption process, for a speed up of the referrals, for patience of God's timing.
Pray for the orphans, state side and international ~ that not one of God's children will ever feel unloved! And please pray for KaraLin Ann and her mother that will love her so much that she will decide to do the unthinkable, for strength and courage. Love you all!

Referrals!
It looks like they have referred through April 3rd! WOO-HOO! Another whopping three days of referrals.....be still my beating heart! A post on the Rumor Queen has them being done with April in June or July. JUNE OR JULY, C'mon now! That just really sucks! What to do, what to do? Really, I am just thinking out loud. I know in my heart that God knows me and my inner most thoughts~
"BE PATIENT...WAIT ON ME. YEARS ARE LIKE SECONDS TO ME." I hear His voice inside my head but yet my flesh cries out "how can you ask me to wait, I am not getting any younger here!" And then, a peace overcomes me and I know that He is with me. Age is just a number and our days are already planned. So as I sit back, relax and read His word.....knowing and believing that whatever he has in store for me is perfect because it is His plan.
Pray with me if you will:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I worship and praise you, Lord. For you are perfect in every way. Please bless Tony and I and bless those who are praying with us for this adoption. We pray for the orphans that you will comfort them until their forever families are found. Bless those who are working so hard to find homes for the orphans and Lord, thank you for sending you son, Jesus, to die for our sins. Forgive us when fail you and Lord help us to recognize those times. I Pray all these in through Jesus' precious name, AMEN!
Blessings to you and your families!

Referrals
I know, I know....it seems like it has been a long time since I "blogged" but it just seems like time is standing still in the adoption world. With that being said here is the latest, hottest (is that even a word?) news:
December 02, 2009
We received referrals today for families with LIDs of March 29, 2006. According to the CCAA website, referrals went through March 31, 2006, making the current wait time approximately 44 months.
44 MONTHS!!!!!!! CAN YOU FRIGGIN' BELIEVE IT!!!!! I think elephants aren't even pregnant this long! With all this waiting, it has us thinking, are we really doing the right thing? Is there more that we could be doing?
Something came to my mind over Thanksgiving...something that has always been there but never really discussed, always too afraid I guess. Well, anyhow, I was surfing the web and ended up looking at foster kids on the internet (so many!). For one reason or another I felt a tugging in my heart for those with siblings in foster care. How awesome would it be to be able to keep a family together! Long story short, I went to church on Sunday and in our mailbox our Pastor had put a letter that he had received from the Childrens Service in our county looking for foster families. GOD WINK :)
GOD WINKS: Meaning the things that seem to be coincidental are really God's way of speaking to us.
So I am going to be giving this lady a call to see if we can set up a meeting with her to get a little more information and also to see if she will speak at our church.
We are still pursuing our adoption from China because I KNOW that God has that perfect little girl for us but in the meantime, who knows!!!!! Pray for us, for direction and for more GOD WINKS!
